Mathematics-Science Teacher (1)
Social Studies-Humanities / Community Project Leader (1)

We are seeking Outstanding and Inspirational Teachers to join us for the opening of our program in the Fall 2025 School Year. *We expect small class sizes* IST is a new project in education and centers on student inquiry, theme-based learning, and experimental STEAM based principles. We seek teachers who are excited to join a faculty who collaborate to create relevant and rigorous learning opportunities within the campus community. Our instructional values also center on awareness and perspectives of cultural competency as an essential aspect to our community.  Having the same expectations as we do for our students, we support and encourage our faculty members to engage in professional development that grows their vocation. IST aims to continuously improve our teaching practices to improve the educational experience and benefits from the knowledge and ideas all faculty members contribute.

Qualifications Required:

  • Native English Speaker (or Fluent)

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject, and required relevant certifications (Secondary Education)

  • Minimum of two years of successful experience working as a full-time educator in an accredited school setting

  • Relevant experience in classroom instruction and assessment

  • Willingness to engage in curriculum development incorporating STEAM learning into the classroom

  • Ability to develop instructional materials that implement subject standards

  • Ability to obtain a working visa in Korea (successful completion of a drug screening

  • process per Korean law)

  • Experience teaching and using the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) 

  • Experience teaching and using the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) 

  • Experience or willingness to learn the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards

  • Ability to host an after-school club or activity

Full-Time Employment Requirements (Private Academy)

  • F visa holder or Korean Citizen

  • Minimum of 3 weeks designated vacation (paid) plus Korean National Holidays

  • Location: Seocho-gu, Seoul

  • Start date: Asap

  • Working hours: School Year Period 8:00 am-5:00 pm (M~F), (Middle School) / Non-School Year Period 9:00 am-5:00 pm (Tentative)

  • Salary: 2.6~3.0 Full-time (depending on experience) 

  • Benefits: Pension, Insurance, Severance Pay, Paid vacation 

  • Unfortunately, housing is not included at the moment (housing allowance/support may be added during the year)
